About Brody

Brody Segan is a trombonist, composer, arranger, and educator from Allentown, Pennsylvania. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Pedagogy from the Frost School of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from Penn State University. His performance career has been nothing short of versatile, having played with Arturo Sandoval, Michel Camilo, Joe Lovano, Carl Fischer, Marko Marcinko, Scranton Jazz Festival Big Band, Schützengiggles Oompah Band, Panchito Bongo y Su Orquesta, Harrisburg Jazz Collective, South Florida Jazz Orchestra, and M&J Big Band. For three years in a row, he served as Low Brass Faculty for the annual PA Jazz Institute. An ASCAP-affiliated writer, he has a big band chart on J.W. Pepper (“Honk on This”), multiple singles released under his label Brodacious Music, and a growing list of clients from Sukavision to Schützengiggles and more.

 

Starting on December 14th, 2025, Brody will begin a contract as a trombonist for Royal Caribbean.
